The Nest Hair Boutique is the product of a vision that began a little over a decade ago with my ambition to create a salon where stylists feel appreciated and clients are continuously wowed. Creating a unique and welcoming environment where everyone feels as though they couldn’t be happier anywhere else, is what The Nest is today.
I feel so fortunate to be able to do what I love and wish more people would follow their dreams. I love The Nest – it’s one of my favourite places to be. It’s where I laugh the most, make my clients laugh, and I get to be creative and make others feel beautiful. I love to be around people who are inspiring and also those who I can inspire. It seems to have a snowball effect – the more we can inspire others the more it inspires us.

Serena
Our Italian Salon Stallion, Serena, brings over 15 years of experience to The Nest, having started her hairdressing journey in Italy. She loves connecting with clients and giving them a confidence boost with every cut and colour.
Her favourite part of the job? The perfect mix of cutting and colouring, she couldn’t choose just one! She also has a passion for history, especially fashion and beauty trends through the ages.
Serena loves The Nest’s creative energy and supportive team. And when she’s not in the salon? You’ll probably find her in nature, on the tennis court, or napping with her cats!

Kiara
Meet Kiara! Our beautiful English Lass that has the very best uplifting and bubbly infectious energy. The perfect mix of personality and professionalism!
My favourite thing about Kiara is she makes you feel like you are way funnier than you are. And she’s always up for pretty much anything including helping our team and clients in anyway she can.
You’ll meet Kiara at the front desk, over the phone and through email.
Side note* Kiara is actually a really talented MUA and stylist herself and has exceptional taste!

We love this talented Portuguese Mumma! Every day is different for Marcia bouncing between making our clients feel their very best with her epic makeup skills to helping the team behind the basin, and then managing the front desk and all that entails! A blondie at heart, our team and clients love Marcia’s bubbly energy and great sense of humour.
If you’ve never had your makeup done professionally before Marcia is in Friday and Saturday's and she’s a gun at all faces of any age. Treat yourself ladies!

Our girl Steevie-Lou has done a full 360 since we first met her—and we couldn’t love it more.
From globe-trotting in Canada to tying the knot, becoming a mum, and working Saturdays (but not for long as she's up-the-duff again!),she’s always evolving.
She’s been a part of The Nest family for years now, and watching her grow through every life chapter has been such a joy. Her bright, cheerful, no-BS energy paired with her ability to create realistic results is exactly why her clients adore her. She’s the go-to for great service, practical hair advice, especially if you’re rocking curls, and a good chat that will leave you smiling.

Annika came to us for just a school placement and after working with her for just a short time we knew we would love to have her as a trainee because she was just so sweet and beautifully mannered (good job Mum & Dad) and the girls just loved her straight away!
Fast forward, Annie is now on the floor full time back-to-back giving clients exceptional results.
Annika loved the way the salon looked and felt and especially how passionate and bubbly the team was. A perfect match! Annika has a great understanding of how important hair is for most women and is excited to grow her clientele and fan base.

Molly
Say hello to our British, bubbly, sun-loving senior stylist, who brings such a warm energy to the salon! Fresh to Australia, she instantly fell in love with The Nest’s culture and how welcoming the team is…and we’re so glad she did!
She loves doing extensions and is obsessed with The Nest’s techniques, creating seamless transformations that leave clients feeling confident and radiant. She's also a gun at cutting, so if you're in for a shag Molly is your go-to.
When she’s not in the salon, you’ll find her soaking up the sun at the beach or trying out a new restaurant, especially if there’s a roast dinner on the menu!

Samara
When Samara joined The Nest, she hit the ground running, quickly making her mark as an emerging stylist. Now a senior, she’s quickly building her clientele and delivering beautiful results with her signature soft, lived-in blondes and balayages'.
What she loves most about The Nest? The fun, supportive environment and the amazing team she gets to work with every day. And when she’s not in the salon? You’ll probably find her out with friends.

Kaylee
Kaylee is one of the kindest and hardest-working apprentices we’ve had, always eager to learn and grow. She first connected with The Nest through social media, following along with Charlie’s journey and listening to her podcast!
Now a senior, Kaylee loves creating the perfect colour to that final blow-dry reveal. She’s all about making clients feel pampered, especially with her super relaxing head massages. And when she’s not in the salon? You’ll probably find her at the beach or out with friends.
We can’t wait to watch Kaylee continue to grow into the hairdresser we know she can be.

Sophia
If you’ve been with us for a while, you’ll definitely recognise Sophia. We’ve watched her grow up from a young girl coming to The Nest for a bit of fun to now being one of our best junior all-rounders.
Soph is fun, easygoing, and fits into our salon culture so well. She loves being friends with everyone on the team and the snack bar
Through her apprenticeship she’s shown so much dedication and talent, and it’s been so nice watching her find her confidence behind the chair. Now taking on clients of her own, we can't wait to watch her grow into an amazing stylist.

Mikayla
Mikayla is our little pocket rocket! If you’ve met Mikayla, you’ll know straight away how much of a hard worker she is. Our days genuinely wouldn’t run as smoothly without her. She’s bubbly, kindhearted, and we can already see her thriving as a hairdresser.
When she’s not in the salon, she’s usually with friends, shopping, or getting her nails done and trust us, she always has the most fun nails. If you get the pleasure of seeing Mikayla, make sure you have a look!

Madi
Madi is our kind and outgoing new addition to The Nest, and she’s already settled in like she’s been here for years. She loves a good chat with clients and making them laugh.
She has blown us away with how fast she has picked up the tools and excelled at extensions, she's already taken on her own clients!
When she’s not working hard, you’ll find her at the beach or out shopping, which probably explains her great sense of style. She loves the team, the clients, and our cold brew coffee!

Chanelle
Chanelle is our NZ house music-lover and, on occasion, DJ. She's always bringing good energy into the salon, and is always up for a D&M chat.
She loves creating smooth, bouncy blow-dries and is excited to keep building her skills in blonde transformations.
Her favourite part of The Nest is the vibe: genuinely nice people and a beautiful atmosphere, both in the space and the team.

Demi is our chatty and funny salon assistant, always up for a laugh and a good conversation. Her favourite part about working at The Nest is the team and the energy of the salon, it’s what keeps every day feeling fun.
